Reflexology
Home

Reflexology is an ancient science based on the premise that there are zones and reflex areas in the feet and hands that correspond to all glands, organs, parts, and systems of the body. The physical act of applying pressure using thumb, finger, and hand techniques to these reflex areas results in the reduction of stress, which in turn causes changes in the body.

Each foot has over 7,000 nerve endings, 26 bones, 107 ligaments and 19 muscles. Reflexology can improve your circulation, reduce body tension and restore overall well-being.

Modern Reflexology is based on the work of two American physicians, Dr. William Fitzgerald and Dr. Joe Shelby Riley of the 1920's, as well as the work of physiotherapist Eunice D. Ingham.

While historically Reflexology has been found to have a positive affect on the body, from a wide variety of conditions, Reflexology is not a substitute for medical treatment, but can be used as a complement to any type of medical approach or therapy.

The Reflexology course that we offer is based mainly on a singular text written by our Institute.
