“Their fruit will be for food, and theirleaves for medicine.”
Ezekial 47:12 Essiac (es-ee-ak) tea is a herbal recipe discovered more than seventy years ago by Canadian nurse Rene Caisse. The word Essiac is her last name spelled backwards. Nurse Caisse received the recipe from a breast cancer patient who had obtained it from an Ojibwa Indian Medicine Man. It is said that Rene used the same recipe on her aunt, who was terminally ill with stomach and liver cancer, and she lived on another 21 years, cancer free. She attributed the healing of her patient and her aunt to the tea, and began experimenting using the tea for other chronic and terminal conditions. Although there is no clinical evidence to support the effectiveness of Essiac tea on cancer or other diseases, there are countless stories and testimonials about its purported success. As such, the recipe has been passed from herbalist to apprentice, and now we offer it to you. We can make no personal guarantee of the benefits of Essiac, but we have seen with our own eyes by administering to ourselves and our families its positive results. What makes Reiki Rays 4 Herb Essiac Different from other Blends on the Market? Everyone says that their Essiac blend is authentic, yet when one learns the proper methods to use and prepare herbs, you will discover that most formulations on the market cannot yield the benefits they claim. First of all, ALL Essiac blends are made as a decoction, not an infusion. An infusion is what people do when they put a tea bag or loose herbs in a cup of hot water. A decoction is used to extract minerals, etc. from roots, bark or seeds by boiling for ten minutes and then allowing the herbs to steep for several hours. Most recipes and blends on the market rely primarily on powered herbs, which not only do not require a 12 hour decoction time, but would actually evaporate and be rendered unless if made via the decoction method. So, if you have already made tea bags that instruct you to make like any other tea, rest assured there is not enough time for the blend to release its constituents into the water to work. Also, when using mostly powdered herb, there is far less if any pulp leftover, that is traditionally used for poultices and salves. Powder mixed with water will not render this leftover pulp. There are many testimonials over the years for using this pulp for various skin conditions and disorders, so much so that many actually discard the tea water and go through the entire process merely to yield the pulp. Therefore, if you have a recipe or already made blend that has no pulp left behind, its not the real thing. In addition, Essiac typically does not work in a tincture, capsule, or extract form, as it is only through the decoction process that the necessary minerals are released into the water. Merely covering herbs in alcohol and letting them sit for months will not render the same outcome. Essiac tea for pets Essiac can also be
administered to pets. It is best to assess the dosage according to their
weight. A cat weighing eleven pounds is doing well on 2ml daily whereas
a large and heavy dog of 120 pounds would need an adult dose of 30ml
daily. The tea can be quite laxative in nature, so it is suggested that
you gradually increase the dose and cut back if diarrhea occurs. Our teas are packaged in loose bulk bags, ready to make, and with complete instructions. Our modest packaging helps keep waste to a minimum and costs low. Teas are offered in 4 pre-measured ziplock bags equally a one month supply. We can custom blend teas for many other purposes for the same price. Please inquire. *These recipes and statements were not reviewed by the FDA. Not intended to diagnose or treat any illness.
